Victims Were Embassy Employees
Yechiel Leiter, Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S., spoke emotionally at a press briefing, revealing the victims were a young couple who worked at the Israeli Embassy in Washington. “The young man had just bought an engagement ring and planned to propose next week in Jerusalem,” Leiter said. “They were a beautiful couple with a future that was cruelly cut short.”
